Privacy
The short version: we keep your email and your practice history so the app works. No ads, no selling or sharing your data, no third-party analytics.
What we collect
- Your email address, if you make an account. It’s how you sign in: we email you a link, no password. It’s the only thing an account needs.
- Your attempts. For each play you score while signed in: the call you made, how it was graded, how long you took, and whether it was a drill. That’s what builds your stats.
- Your flags. When you flag a play, the reason and any note you add.
- Contact messages. What you send through the contact form: your name if you give it, your email, and your message.
- Basic server logs. Our hosting providers keep standard request logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run the service and stop abuse.
If you play without signing in, your calls are graded but not saved to any account.
What we don’t do
- No ads and no ad trackers.
- No selling, renting, or sharing your personal data with anyone for their own use.
- No third-party analytics. We don’t run analytics scripts on the app or this site.
- No collecting more than the features you use need.
Who handles data for us
Cloudflare hosts the app and this site. Supabase runs the database and sign-in, and sends the sign-in emails. Each processes data only to provide that service to us.
Video comes from MLB
Clips play straight from MLB’s servers to your browser. Tough Call never stores or re-hosts video. Because your browser loads the clip from MLB, MLB receives that request the way any website does, including your IP address, and handles it under its own privacy policy.
Cookies and storage
The app uses your browser’s storage to keep you signed in and remember settings on your device. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. This site sets no cookies of its own.
Your choices
- Delete your account. Contact us from the email on your account, and we’ll delete the account, your attempts, and your flags.
- Get a copy. Ask, and we’ll send you what we have tied to your email.
Children
Tough Call is meant for adult scorekeepers and isn’t directed at children under 13. We don’t knowingly create accounts for them. If you think a child under 13 has an account, tell us and we’ll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update it here with a new effective date and say so in the app.
